"Turkey Chase"
Needed: as many scarfs, hankies, or scraps of cloth as you have players. Players need to have on pants or shorts that have back pockets in them. Someone who is not playing should give each player a scarf- one at a time out of sight of the other players-and that player needs to keep the scarf from being seen by the others. When everyone has thier scarf have all players form a wide (as possible) circle and with out letting the others see , put scarf in thier back pocket with about half showing out. On "go" every player tries to see another players scarf color is with out thier own being seen.....if you see someones color you shout out thier name and color and are correct that person is out! To prevent random guessing if the guesser guesses wrong THEY are out. Keep going untill only one player is left who is the winner. The reason this game is called 'turkey chase' is because contestants look like turkeys in play.......watch and you'll see!
"Turkey Trot"
Every player stands on one leg and holds the other up behind him with thier hand. At "go" players hop on one leg untill they lose balance fall over, or tire out and cant do it anymore.....no stopping or that person is out. The last person to be able to stay up and hop all the way through without stopping is the winner!
"Turkey Dinner"
Everyone sits in a circle (use chairs if you can but it does'nt matter that much) Then everyone choose a part of the Thanksgiving dinner they will be.....ex: Sue is 'stuffing', Bob is 'yams'.....etc. Everyone should know everyone elses food item. Then roll up some newspaper (not too tight-you're going to be bopping heads with it) and choose some one to be 'it'. The 'it' person goes in the middle of the circle with news roll in hand. Then a circle person will shout the 'food item' of another circle person.....'it' persons goal is to 'tag' with the news roll the person called out before that person can call out another circle members name. This game moves fast and is LOADS of fun. If a person gets tagged they are then it!
"Turkey Turkey-Goose!"
Same as 'Duck, Duck-Goose" & same rules apply.....only difference is using the word 'turkey' in place of duck. All players sit in a circle, one person is "it" who travels around the outside of the circle patting each player on the head saying, "turkey, turkey, turkey" for each one until they decide to name one 'goose'.......when that happens the goose gets up and chases the it person around the circle and tries to tag him. If the it person can make it back to the gooses place and sit in it before getting tagged then the goose becomes it and play begins again......
